Please welcome Luke Coupland, DPT to our practice!
Luke earned his Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from James Madison University in 2015. He then obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in 2021.
Luke grew up in Northern Virginia and returned to Charlottesville in 2021 and has been working towards his goal of becoming an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) under the mentorship of Move Better Physical Therapy. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the outdoors with his wife Erin and Australian Shepard / Border Collie mix Murphy. In Addition, he spends some of his time serving in the Virginia Army National Guard, where he serves as a Medical Service Corps Officer.
At Move Better Physical Therapy his advanced training helps his patients resolve sports injuries of the upper and lower extremity. Through his experiences as a competitive soccer player and avid weightlifter, Luke has developed a special interest in sports injury rehabilitation to guide his patients return to pain-free play. In addition, Luke is a highly skilled clinician ready to help patients with chronic and acute back pain; shoulder impingement and rotator cuff injuries; balance training; and post-surgical care of the shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle.
